Aether

In ancient Greek mythology, Aether is the embodiment of light and the pure upper air. His presence symbolizes the clearest radiance before dawn—an ethereal glow that drapes the earth and sea in a serene, crystalline blue. It was believed that this light was the purest, most tranquil breath shared between heaven and earth.
The sky-blue topaz draws its inspiration from this fusion of nature and myth. Its hue resembles the first strand of morning light breaking through the clouds—clear, profound, and quietly luminous. Under sunlight, it shimmers with a calm, pristine glow, as if it captures the cadence of the atmosphere and the passage of time.

AET REMOULD sets this purity of light into the watch’s octagonal bezel and hour markers. Thirty-two natural topaz stones are arranged with meticulous order, each rigorously selected and precisely mounted for uniform color and immaculate brilliance. They are more than gemstones—they carry the depth of time and culture, subtly linking the wearer’s every movement with the flow of history, as if wearing an elegant legacy across eras.

The moon-phase complication serves as a metaphor for time. The cyclical waxing and waning of the moon echoes the gentle luminosity of the topaz, allowing the wearer to feel the quiet pulse between precision and romance. Thus Aether becomes not merely a recorder of passing hours, but a resonance of light and emotion, of history and the present moment.

Setting is not merely a demonstration of technical skill—it is an act of artistic creation. The dial and bezel of this timepiece are adorned with meticulously arranged trapeze-cut gemstones, each precisely positioned to ensure both durability and visual harmony. Unlike traditional round bezels, the octagonal design demands far greater precision in both the cutting and angling of each stone. During the production process, the rejection rate for gemstones reaches an astonishing 50%, underscoring the uncompromising standards behind this exceptional work of art.

In the face of the challenges posed by ceramic bezels, the designers and engineers at AET REMOULD devoted over three months to rigorous experimentation and collaborative problem-solving. Their efforts culminated in the world’s first invisible setting technique for ceramic(CIGS)—a groundbreaking innovation that overcame what was once considered an insurmountable obstacle. This delicate process demands extraordinary precision and patience, with every step performed under a microscope. On average, each bezel requires over 600 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, a testament to the brand’s relentless pursuit of perfection.

AET REMOULD’s second-generation HTP ceramic is distinguished by its pure hue, uniform texture, and remarkable hardness—all while offering exceptional comfort on the wrist. Perfectly complementing the brilliance of gemstones, this advanced material is used throughout the timepiece, from case to bracelet. The dual finish—satin brushing paired with jade-like polishing—elevates the watch’s tactile and visual appeal, creating a soft, skin-like touch. The result is a truly luxurious wearing experience, where cutting-edge material science meets refined elegance. The timepiece is also fitted with a new ceramic folding clasp, which continues the design’s refined aesthetic while ensuring secure and effortless wear—bringing Aether into perfect balance between heritage, sentiment, and artisanal mastery.
